Experience & Knowledge will open your horizons more than anything else.
When you have accomplished something, it's not as difficult for you to do it again.
When you know the road to the finish line, you are more likely to get there.
That's why experience matters.
Experience is the most important 'skill' in your tool belt.
Here's a story to solidify that:
Today I was showing my girlfriend how to solve a rubix cube.
She asked me how to do something, and when I showed her, she said:
"When you do it, you just solve it like it's nothing."
And it got me thinking:
What I showed her was easy to see from my point of view.
It was a simple move for me.
I knew exactly what to do next.
And that's when I realized that experience is what makes things clear to see.
You can see the clear moves right in front of you when you've done something a lot.
It's like replaying a movie over and over again.
You know what scenes are coming up next.
You know what people are going to say.
That's experience.
That's why experience makes things clear.
Even if other people can't see what you see, you know it's right in front of them.
That's why I believe everyone should be an educator (or attempt to be).
You have knowledge about something that you're good at.
You've studied topics that nobody else has thought about.
People ask you questions about things because they know you're the expert on that subject.
That's the thing you could be educating people on.
The world is full of people who are looking for answers.
At the most simple aspect of it:
People are looking for answers on "how to solve a Rubix cube"
People want to do new things.
You and I want to explore all that life has to offer.
And depending on where you're at in your life journey, you'll want to learn different things.
You might be a marketing cloud admin who wants to get a Marketing Cloud Job, and you don't know how.
So you learn how to:
Write a resume
Search for jobs
Apply for jobs
Crush the interview
Be great when you have the job.
But the learning doesn't stop there.
You may want to become a "team lead".
Then you go for "marketing manager".
Then you get a "director of marketing" title.
Then, you become the "Chief Marketing Officer" (CMO).
Then, you build a startup and sell the company.
And you repeat it again with another project.
The learning never stops.
We all need a guide.
If you have accomplished something in your life, you're qualified to teach other people how to do that thing.
If you geek out about Rubix cubes, you can teach people how to solve Rubix cubes.
You can even teach people how to solve advanced Rubix cubes!
Then you can get into other puzzles and games!
The growth never stops.
That means that people's desire to learn doesn't stop either.
If you have experience to help other people get to the next level, then I encourage you to teach people how to get there!
What seems so simple to you is like climbing a mountain to someone else.
The only question is, will you answer the call and help them reach the top?
The choice is yours.
The responsibility has been bestowed upon us to help our fellow neighbors (friends, family, & literal neighbors).
Education is the best way to give people a brighter future.
That's all I've got for ya today, ladies & gentlemen.
