My mom worked as a store manager at Kohls's before she learned Marketing Cloud.
Growing up, my mom worked 50-60 hours per week as a store manager at places like Dick's sporting goods, Kohls's, Starbucks, Rue21, and any other retail shop you could think of.
I always saw her stressed out and worrying about money.
We even lived in a hotel room for a couple of weeks when I was in 7th grade.
Being a single mom isn't an easy job...
It's even harder when you have three mouths to feed.
I remember thinking to myself as a kid... "I never want to be in a position where I have to worry about money."
So I set out to do something where I'd make good money.
Fast forward to May 2017, and I got my first Salesforce internship and studied my butt off to pass the Salesforce Admin cert.
Soon after my first internship, I got my first "real world" job at Love's Travel Stops in Oklahoma City in October 2017.
While working at Love's Travel Stops, I was a Salesforce Admin from 8 AM to 12 PM, working on customer support tickets, and a Marketing Cloud Admin from 1 PM to 5 PM, building campaigns in Marketing Cloud.
I was truly blessed to learn both Salesforce and Marketing Cloud at the same time while I worked at Love's.
While I worked at Love's, I tried telling my mom about Salesforce, but it was too hard for her to understand, so she never went further than doing just a few modules on Trailhead.
She was struggling financially and asking me for help, and I would do whatever I could, but I always wanted to see her making her own money.
Eventually, I moved to San Diego, California, in August of 2019 and took the Landmark forum, which changed my perspective on life.
After taking that course, I vowed to train people in Marketing Cloud and wanted to see people's lives changed.
Then the pandemic hit in 2020, and I moved back to Tulsa, Oklahoma, with my mom, sister, and brother.
When I moved back to Tulsa in March of 2020, I tried teaching my family how to do salesforce, but they didn't understand how to use it, and I wasn't a great teacher yet.
So I made a promise to them.
I said, "I'll pay all the bills for an entire year while we live together if you guys promise to learn Marketing Cloud."
They agreed, and the challenge was on.
So from August 2020 to August 2021, I taught my mom and sister how to use Marketing Cloud and even did mock interviews with them to prepare them for job interviews.
And fast forward to today, my mom has TWO Marketing Cloud jobs making well into the six figures.
She drives a Mercedes Benz, whereas before, she didn't even have a car to drive.
I only tell this story because I want to share how Marketing Cloud has changed my family's lives.
My family went from being unable to pay rent to be in the top 1% of income earners worldwide.
I haven't even mentioned my sister...
She's only 22 and making more money than people with master's degrees, and all she did was learn how to use Marketing Cloud.
I wanted to share this story with you to see how powerful Salesforce Marketing Cloud is and how it can change your life if you learn how to use it.
This isn't some get-rich-quick thing or a gimmick...
Marketing Cloud has changed my life, and it's changed my family's life for the better.
We can now go on vacations, pay off all our bills, and live stress-free because we learned a valuable skill that's in demand in the workforce.
I encourage you to do the same thing.
I don't teach Marketing Cloud for the money.
I teach Marketing Cloud for the life-changing benefits it can provide to so many people.
I get email messages all the time about people whose lives have been changed because they decided to learn Marketing Cloud, and it brings me to tears almost every day.
I hope you're the next person and you can change your life and possibly your family's.
Here's to hoping for a better future and working toward it daily!
